Preston Russel Perkey Sr – SK – N3KES
November 13th, 1922 – April 2nd, 2016

Preston Russel Perkey Sr., 93, of New Bloomfield PA, passed away April 2nd, 2016 at the Homeland Hospice Center in Harrisburg.

Born November 13th, 1922 in Manada Hill PA. He was the son to the late John and Alice (Hocker) Perkey.

Preston was a graduate of the John Harris High School.

Preston then enlisted in the Navy and served during WWII.

He later worked at Bethlehem Steel in the West End Machine Shop as a general foreman. After retiring from Bethlehem Steel he also worked for American Decal.

Preston loved to spend quality time with his family and his cat Jake, he also enjoyed new cars, spending time on his farm, tinkering with HAM radios.

He belonged to the Robert Burns Lodge F&AM

Preston was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy (Graham) Perkey, March 17th, 2016. They would have been married 74 years on April 14th.

Preston leaves behind two sons, Preston (Leslie) Perkey of FL and Richard (Susan) Camp Hill; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hackett, Sandra Perkey-Masterson, John Perkey, and Kevin Perkey; along with 6 great grandchildren, Tyler Masterson, Eion Hackett, Samuel Perkey, Eleanor Perkey, Wyatt Perkey, and Cole Perkey.

Preston loved all of his family with all of his heart.
