Emily Sue Ulrich – SK – K3ESU (KC3MRW)
March 1, 1974 – Feb. 23, 2022

Emily Sue Ulrich, 47, of Hershey, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at UPMC Harrisburg. She was born in Jersey Shore PA, on March 1, 1974 to William K. Person and Martha A. (Roan) Messner.

Emily worked for Susquehanna Area Regional Airport – HIA

Emily was a member of the Harrisburg Radio Amateur Club and Central Pa Repeater Assoc.  Emily was relatively new to amateur radio, first licensed in January 2019 as KC3MRW, Technician Class, and a few months later granted a “vanity” as K3ESU in July 2019. She assisted in hamfests and other activities. She was elected Vice-President of the HRAC in December 2021

She loved hiking, traveling, white water rafting and wine making. She delighted in learning new things like Mandarin. Emily was a serial hobbyist.

She is preceded in death by her niece, Morgan Griffis.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Stephen M. Ulrich of Hershey; two sons, Gabriel and his wife, Corrinne of Harrisburg, Joel of Hershey; daughter, Hannah of Ohio; two brothers, Sam and Grant Messner; two sisters, Valerie Baker and Molly Person.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 5 at Brookfield Bible Church with Dr. Jon Shiery officiating. There will be a viewing from 1 – 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held in the Grantville Cemetery.

A local memorial service will be held at a later date.

EMILY ULRICH MEMORIAM

A Memorial Service will be held at East Point Ebenezer United Methodist Church Rt 414 East of Liberty on June 4 at 11 a.m. for Emily Person Ulrich, 1974-2022, graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1992. A picnic lunch will follow the service at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreens where Emily liked to camp and swim, one mile north of Trout Run on Route 14, past Twin Oaks Nursery and Coal Yard, turn right onto Meyers Road.
